The denversummit_fc earned a 2-1 comeback win over the Portland Thorns in the club’s first-ever match at Centennial Stadium. Colorado natives Lindsey Heaps and Janine Sonis shined in front of the home crowd, with Sonis scoring the first goal in stadium history before rookie Natalie Means buried the late game-winner off a Heaps assist.

The win marked the Summit’s first points of the season when conceding first in a match.
