I took the new sonyalpha RX10 V out to a few of my favorite Colorado birding spots and spent the day hiking between lakes, trails, and wetlands to see what I could find. One of the things I enjoyed most was having a lightweight setup that was easy to carry from spot to spot, while still giving me the 600mm reach I needed to photograph birds from a distance.

From hummingbirds to herons and everything in between, I never quite know what I’m going to find when I head out birding. That’s what keeps every adventure interesting.
