2021 is the year I became an author and I am so grateful to God! 💫📚

I remember the days in university when I would go to indigo chapters and write for hours, just praying that one day my book might be on shelves. I remember submitting said book and getting over a 100 rejections from agents. Fast forward to me pivoting and writing hurricane summer a few years later - and now it’s named one of the BEST YA BOOKS OF THE YEAR by indigo! The same place I spent reading rejection emails on the weekends. 💌 

I just want to say a massive Thank you to everyone who supported this #HurricaneSummer this year. To everyone who read it, reposted, told a friend, listened to the audio or just devoted your time towards HEARING and reading my work. It’s not lost on me what a BLESSING that is. THANK YOU for seeing me. For connecting with this story. I’m SO excited for book two.

This year has been more a dream come true, and I just to say to anyone with a dream in their heart - IT IS possible through love, determination and hard work. Write that book! Do that thing! You are worthy and Resilience will be your SUPERPOWER! ✨
