Communication 

Don’t confuse noise with communication. 

When a coach shouts “talk” what they actually mean is “communicate” 

Shouting “yeah” or “ball” is not communication. 

If you want to work as a team , you need to have a conversation. Meaning “i got ball” or “i need help” or “watch the screen” or “you take #5  and i got the shooter in the corner”. That’s talking to each other, thats communication between a team of people. 

It is perhaps the most powerful and difficult lesson for any young athlete to learn, because they usually have a social stigma, or sense of embarrassment , that people will think they are weird or stupid for raising their voice and making a lot of noise. 

It’s not ! 

It is a vital part of the game , and will determine how far you go as an athlete as much as any skill you possess. #communication #together #defencewinsgames #talk
