Kodawari is my top recommendation for Japanese food in the South Bay Area! It’s a sister restaurant to Rantei which is already a strong candidate.  I love their Kaisen Don (comes with tuna, uni and scallop both from Hokkaido) and their Otsumami box (10 portions Omakase experience).
