The Powell River Kings are proud to announce the signing of local defenceman Kyle Mayenburg for the 2026–2027 BCHL season! 🎉

Growing up in Powell River, wearing the Kings crest is the ultimate dream — and this season, 19-year-old Kyle is living it. A smart, dependable, and fiercely competitive blue-liner, Kyle brings consistency, leadership, and stability to our group.

“This is a great day for the Kings, Kyle and his family, and the community of Powell River,” said GM Tyler Kuntz. “We’re incredibly proud to welcome another hometown player who’s dedicated to his craft both on and off the ice.”

From the Powell River Rec Complex and Minor Hockey (green & gold pride!), through North Island Silvertips AAA, Delta Hockey Academy, and the Comox Valley Glacier Kings — plus affiliate time with the Kings — Kyle is ready to help rebuild a winning culture and reconnect the Kings with our community.
