Yesterday, our founders Arum and Jabilayh had the honour of attending a powerful roundtable discussion at Portcullis House, Westminster, put together by the Tennis Black List, led by MP Marsha De Cordova and supported by the LTA. It was an inspiring space that brought together key voices from across the Black tennis community to celebrate progress, share lived experiences and explore how we can collectively drive meaningful change within our sport.

We were proud to spotlight the work we are building through Black Tennis Mentors (BTM), including:

1. The success of our recent Black History Month Exhibition, highlighting culture, community and representation

2. Our regular ‘Back It’ community sessions, creating fun, social and accessible playing opportunities for adults

3. Our growing Coach Education Pathway, developing the next generation of diverse coaches through mentoring, qualifications and leadership opportunities

4. Our support for Black-led tennis communities and individuals across the UK, sharing knowledge, networks and resources to rise together. 

The conversation left us energised and determined to keep pushing for increased visibility, equity and opportunity in tennis — from grassroots courts to elite spaces.
