Yesterday was special! 🎾🎤

We had the honour of attending the Black and Asian Coaches Network event in Birmingham, hosted by EDI Lead at the LTA Alexis Simms. 

The day featured an inspiring keynote that set the tone for change, followed by a dynamic panel discussion exploring coaching journeys, challenges, and the importance of inclusive pathways.

The event brought together coaches, mentors, and leaders from across the country, creating space for honest conversation, shared learning, and meaningful connections. It was a celebration of progress, and a clear reminder that when we invest in visibility, support, and opportunity, the whole game moves forward.

Our very own Arum and Femi represented Black Tennis Mentors on the panel, sharing insights, energy, and lived experiences. For Femi, this was especially meaningful, as our newest coach on the BTM pathway whose just passed her LTA Level One a few weeks ago, and is now on the road to Level Two with our full support behind her. 🙏🏾

Seeing her step up and speak from the heart about her journey is exactly why we do what we do, opening doors, creating space, and investing in the next generation of tennis enthusiasts! 🤝🏾

Massive thanks to the LTA and Alexis for creating such a purposeful and inspiring event.
