New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s anti-Netanyahu video has now been shared more than 1.5 million times and has generated nearly 10 million total engagements across social media, dramatically amplifying his message ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s expected visit to New York for the U.N. General Assembly this September.

Mamdani has since acknowledged that he never had the legal authority to arrest Netanyahu or any other foreign leader visiting New York City. Despite knowing that, he repeatedly declared Netanyahu “not welcome” in New York, labeled him a “war criminal,” and called for his arrest, helping spread the message to millions.
