This recognition reflects exceptional teaching, meaningful student growth, and consistently outstanding classroom practice. It’s reserved for educators whose impact is evident every single day in the lives of their students.

We’ve had the privilege of knowing Kyndal through Houston Loves Teachers’ inaugural Teacher Leader Cohort. She showed up exactly the way she teaches—with incredible energy and enthusiasm, curiosity, generosity, and a commitment to getting better, even when she’s already excellent. She asks thoughtful questions, shares what she’s learning, and makes the educators around her stronger.

Beyond all of that, Kyndal is unapologetically proud to be a teacher— and more specifically proud of her students. Spend a few minutes with her, and you’ll hear story after story about her students: the progress they made, the challenge they overcame, the goal they finally reached. She celebrates their wins with so much genuine excitement that you can’t help but cheer for them too.
