On Thursday, NewsTalk New England visited Jolly Roger's Diner in Northborough, Massachusetts, and it didn't take long to understand why this local favorite has earned such a loyal following.

From the moment we walked in, the diner was spotless, welcoming, and full of classic New England charm. The counter seating brought back memories of the old Newport Creamery restaurants, while the friendly staff made us feel right at home. Owner Roger was behind the grill cooking alongside his team, and their attention to detail showed in every dish.

We ordered the Two Chili Dogs with French Fries, the Smoked Brisket Sandwich on a brioche bun with barbecue sauce, and the Hangover Burger with fries.

The standout? The chili dogs. Instead of traditional ground beef, Jolly Roger's makes its chili with tender brisket, creating a rich, smoky flavor that takes this classic to another level. Easily a 10/10.

The smoked brisket sandwich was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the Hangover Burger—topped with bacon, hash browns, and an over-easy egg—was outstanding. Breaking into the burger released the rich egg yolk into every bite, making for an unforgettable sandwich.

The fries were hot, crispy, and the perfect complement to every meal.
