According to the Chicago Fire Department, multiple people were shot during the incident at approximately 11:11 a.m. in the 4600 block of North Springfield, including a SWAT team member from the Chicago Police Department.

There was no immediate word on the condition of the officer. A total of three people were transported to area hospitals following the shooting, according to police.
