Published to coincide with one of the very last exhibitions Georg Baselitz conceived before his passing in April 2026, ‘Back Again’ features large-scale reproductions of the artist’s paintings and works on paper from the last three years of his life.⁠

In the catalogue, an essay by writer and academic Matthew Holman (matthewjholman) traces the threads of Baselitz’s extraordinary artistic life: the Saxony countryside of his childhood, the enduring influence of his wife, Elke, and a mark-making practice that carried the weight of the history of painting.⁠
