A United flight full of passengers spent Monday night parked at a military base in Glendale instead of a Sky Harbor gate.

Flight 2078 from Houston was headed into Phoenix when monsoon storms shut down landings at Sky Harbor. The crew diverted to Luke Air Force Base, a move United called the safest course of action, and the plane touched down without incident.

Flight tracking outlets report the crew declared minimum fuel while holding outside the Valley before the diversion. All 154 passengers and six crew members got off safely and were bused to Sky Harbor. No injuries were reported, and the jet was later flown out of Luke with nobody on board.
