Arizona is officially taking on one of the biggest entertainment deals in history. 😳🎬

Arizona joined 11 other states in a lawsuit to stop Paramount’s proposed $81 billion merger with Warner Bros. Discovery, arguing the deal could lead to higher prices, fewer movies and TV shows, and less competition for consumers.

A federal judge has now temporarily halted the merger for at least 14 days, giving the lawsuit time to move forward before the companies can try to finalize the deal.

If the merger eventually goes through, companies behind brands like HBO Max, CNN, CBS, Paramount+, Harry Potter, and Top Gun would all be under the same corporate umbrella.
