Long before sitting down with photographer Tyrell Hampton for i-D, Frank was interviewing people he genuinely admired. Over the years he’s had conversations with Jay-Z, Timothée Chalamet, Lil B, his own mother Katonya Breaux, and now Hampton, using each interview less to chase headlines and more to explore how creative people think.

Frank’s interviews feel different, because he rarely asks about chart success or upcoming projects. Instead, he steers conversations toward identity, inspiration, purpose, and the creative process itself. 

The questions really do feel like they come from another artist rather than a reporter.
