This month, ovulation has been a really physical experience.

I’ve had ovulation pain, breakouts, strange rushing sensations through my body and that horrible feeling that reminds me of the start of my FND seizures. Thankfully, I haven’t actually had a seizure, but it’s been enough to make me stop, breathe and stay calm when those sensations begin.

One thing I’ve noticed though… my hormones haven’t affected my mood in the same way they sometimes do. No anxiety or low mood so far, which I’m incredibly grateful for. Now it’s just a case of seeing what the next couple of weeks bring as my period gets closer.

Sometimes I honestly wonder… why can’t my cycle just be straightforward?

It’s frustrating, especially when I do everything I can to look after myself.

But despite all of that, I’m staying focused. I’m still motivated. I’m still showing up.

That’s something I’ve learned over the years—you don’t have to feel 100% to keep moving forwards. Some days, success is simply listening to your body, adapting where you need to and refusing to let a difficult day become a reason to give up.

Does anyone else experience really physical ovulation symptoms, or is it just me? ❤️ #ovulation #hormones #pmdd
