📈 SCHLUDE STEPS UP, BECOMES CENTERPIECE OF CRESTWOOD OFFENSE‼️🥍

Crestwood rising senior attackman Kevin Schlude caught up with NEPA Lacrosse after being named the 2026 NEPA Lacrosse Boys Impact Player of the Year.

After the Comets graduated 13 seniors from the previous season, Schlude answered the call by becoming the centerpiece of a retooled Crestwood offense. He finished his junior campaign with 60 goals and 21 assists for 81 points, increasing his career total to 126 goals.

His 60 goals ranked No. 48 overall in Pennsylvania and No. 18 among rising seniors on the palaxnews statewide leaderboard.

Schlude said Crestwood’s transition was a collective effort from its junior class, which worked to help returning players and incoming freshmen become acclimated to the varsity level and comfortable within the offense.

He helped the Comets finish fourth in a competitive WVC and advance to the District 2 semifinals. Schlude also earned WVC Coaches’ Second Team All-Conference honors and was selected to the 22-player NEPA Lacrosse All-District Team.

An uncommitted 2027, Schlude continued raising his profile this summer with Team 570 and was recently selected as one of four attackmen to the Trilogy Lacrosse 24 Showcase All-Star Team.

Schlude described himself as an attackman who can contribute through off-ball movement, finding cutters and dodging. He said Crestwood’s offense is at its best when its players move the ball, remain connected and create opportunities for one another.

This summer, he has focused on improving his dodging, shooting on the run and off-ball play—three areas he believes are essential to becoming a complete college attackman.

As college coaches continue following his recruitment, Schlude wants them to see a dedicated, hardworking and competitive player who performs not only for himself, but also for his teammates.

Entering his senior season, he hopes people notice improvements in his lacrosse IQ, passing and off-ball play. With much of Crestwood’s roster returning, Schlude believes the Comets can contend for a District 2 championship and make a deep run in the PIAA tournament.
