🔥 CAPORUSCIO EYES CHAMPIONSHIP RETURN IN SENIOR SEASON‼️🥍

Crestwood senior attack Gia Caporuscio caught up with NEPA Lacrosse after being named the 2026 NEPA Lacrosse Girls Offensive Player of the Year.

Caporuscio finished one of the most productive seasons in Pennsylvania with 92 goals, 44 assists, 136 points, 186 draw-control wins, 32 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers, leading District 2 in total points.

She also ranked among Pennsylvania’s top players on the palaxnews statewide leaderboards, finishing No. 14 in goals, No. 26 in assists, No. 11 in points and No. 9 in draw-control wins, while ranking No. 2 among rising seniors in points.

Although known for her scoring, Caporuscio said some of her favorite plays come from winning draw controls and creating caused turnovers—effort plays she believes can change the outcome of a game just as much as goals.

She helped Crestwood finish runner-up in both the WVC and District 2 before another trip to the PIAA state quarterfinals. Rather than dwelling on coming up short, Caporuscio said the Comets remain focused on taking the season one game at a time while continuing to pursue league, district and state success.

As one of Crestwood’s veteran leaders, she discussed helping organize offseason workouts, throwing sessions and running sessions alongside her classmates to continue building the close-knit culture she believes has been the foundation of the program’s success.

Already committed to Nova Southeastern, Caporuscio said the commitment hasn’t changed her mindset. Instead, she believes the work truly begins after committing and has continued using the summer with Jersey Thunder to prepare for both her final high school season and the next level.

We talked with Gia about impacting the game beyond scoring, Crestwood’s championship mindset, developing into a leader, life after committing to Nova Southeastern and what she hopes will define her senior season.
