🌟 KNORR MAKES IMMEDIATE IMPACT IN BREAKOUT FRESHMAN SEASON‼️🥍

Crestwood freshman attack Nyla Knorr caught up with NEPA Lacrosse after being named the 2026 NEPA Lacrosse Girls Rookie of the Year.

Knorr stepped directly into the varsity lineup and finished her debut season with 65 goals, 42 assists, 107 points, 39 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers across 23 games.

On the palaxnews statewide leaderboards, she ranked No. 5 among Pennsylvania freshmen in goals, No. 3 in assists and No. 2 in points. She also ranked No. 30 overall in assists and No. 39 overall in points.

Knorr helped Crestwood finish second in the WVC, reach the District 2 Class 2A championship game, win a PIAA first-round matchup for the second consecutive season and advance to the state quarterfinals.

She was also invited to the Under Armour UA 150 Camp, nominated for PASLA Rookie of the Year, earned WVC Coaches’ Second Team All-Conference honors and was selected to both the 22-player NEPA Lacrosse All-District Team and Rising Stars Team.

Knorr said finding her role early and receiving support from her teammates helped prepare her for the speed and physicality of varsity lacrosse. She also discussed the importance of contributing beyond scoring by communicating, creating space, drawing defenders and finding open cutters.

After gaining valuable experience in high-pressure postseason games, Knorr believes Crestwood will return with greater confidence next spring. She has spent the summer sharpening her stickwork and dodging while working toward becoming a more complete and versatile two-way attacker.

Knorr played with Ultimate Lehigh Valley Premier this summer and said she plans to compete with Triple Threat Elite and Elite National this fall as she continues preparing for the recruiting process.

We talked with Nyla about adjusting to varsity lacrosse as a freshman, the different ways she impacts an offense, what Crestwood learned from its postseason run, her summer development and what she hopes people notice about her game when she returns for her sophomore season.

Stay tuned throughout the next week for more NEPA Lacrosse player interviews.
