300,000 people die from drowning every year, roughly 30 people every day, but most of these deaths are preventable. 

Our partners in Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Uganda, the U.S. and Viet Nam are supporting evidence-based drowning prevention efforts including supervision for children, survival swimming lessons, lifeguarding at public beaches, fencing around high-risk ponds, and stronger data collection.
