Mentee Appreciation! 👏🏾✨

In just a short space of time, it’s been incredible to see how much Abyan has grown, not only as a tennis player but as a young person.

Last week, she was invited to attend the WTA Come Play presented by Morgan Stanley event, an initiative designed to inspire the next generation of girls through tennis. She had the opportunity to learn from Judy Murray, Leylah Fernandez, Donna Vekić and Katie Swan before putting her coaching skills into practice by delivering activities for girls from the Elena Baltacha Foundation and the Murray Play Foundation.

Reflecting on the experience, Abyan said:

“It was a workshop on coaching kids and the different games you can teach. Then we worked with some girls from the Elena Baltacha Foundation and got to put what we’d learned into practice alongside Leylah Fernandez, Donna Vekić and Katie Swan. It was really nice.”

I’m incredibly proud to see Abyan already benefiting from opportunities like this and continuing to grow in confidence through tennis.
