🎉 Happy 10th Birthday Nazrah! 🎉
A decade old today… what a milestone 🥹✨

5 years ago, when I first joined the club as Head Coach, I met this shy, bright-eyed little girl who became one of the very first recipients of our bursary programme. From the very start, I saw a spark in you, and I knew I wanted to support you in the same way others once supported me as a young child finding my way in tennis. Full circle moments like these mean everything. 🙏🏾

From picking up a racket for fun to:
🤝🏾 Receiving support from HEAD
📺 Being featured in a BBC story
🏆 Starting to play competitions
🎾 Walking the grounds of Wimbledon
and most importantly, growing in confidence, resilience and belief in herself.

And none of this would be possible without her wonderful mum, your constant love, sacrifice, trust and support behind the scenes has made every step of this journey possible. We’re so grateful to you 🫶🏾

Nazrah, your journey is the exact reason Black Tennis Mentors exists; and it’s young girls like you who gave me the inspiration to drive this whole initiative forward in the first place. Your journey helped shape the mission.

And a huge thank you and hug to everyone who has supported Nazrah along the way; coaches, mentors, partners, family and the wider community. It truly takes a village 🫂
