Building Communities Beyond the Court 🎙️🏆

Last month, I had the pleasure of joining the Over The Bridge podcast to talk about alternative ways to build communities. It was a great opportunity to share the community work both at the Butterfly Tennis Club and Black Tennis Mentors UK, creating accessible spaces for people to connect, learn, and grow through tennis.

This opportunity came through Patrick, one of the podcast’s founders, who reached out and invited me to be a guest. Patrick is actually a tennis player himself and has joined us at our BTM Black and Afro Caribbean sessions at Finsbury Park, so he’s experienced firsthand what we do. That connection made the conversation even more meaningful, as we spoke not just about community-building in theory, but from real, lived experience.
