Inspired by Venetian glassmaking traditions, meekhotglass created an eagle during his ‘Bring the Heat’ demonstration. 🦅
 
For Eric, the eagle symbolizes hope. Growing up in the 1970s, seeing a bald eagle was a rare occurrence. Today, it’s not uncommon to spot them along the Chemung River and throughout the region. To Eric, seeing that change over time is a reminder that progress is possible, even when it feels out of reach.
 
As he shared while creating the piece: “Something that seems insurmountable or something that seems like you can’t make a difference, you really can make a difference. And that’s one of the things that drew me to making this piece in particular.”
