☀️ HAPPY SUMMER SERIES/ Preparation Episode 7 ☀️ 

Today is the final piece to the summer preparation puzzle. We have the snack trolley, I got all of our containers from georgeatasda and filled them with ALL the snacks! 

We’ve got popcorn, pretzels, crackers, nuts, rice cakes, oat biscuits, fruit, fruit winders, flapjacks and breadsticks. I’ll put icy water on the top throughout the day and the idea is that they will help themselves. 

My rules - they can have one packaged item per day and a bowl of the snacky bits morning and afternoon. They can eat a range of the fruit per day. They can add peanut/ almond butter to their bowls and they can fill their lunch boxes with a variety of the snacks but they cannot eat unlimited amounts. 

I think it’s important to give them autonomy over their hunger and make sure they understand how to stay healthy by not over eating/ filling up with the wrong foods. 

What do you think about the snack station? I think some will love it and some will simply hate it and tell me it will be eaten within minutes. I’ll be sure to show you what it looks like after the first day 🤣
