🚨 TRANSFER RUMOR 🚨

Austin FC is reportedly interested in Emiliano “Emi” Martínez, according to Brazilian journalist Cristian Moraes, with talks reportedly expected to begin in the coming days.

The 26-year-old Uruguayan defensive midfielder is under contract with Palmeiras through 2029 and has an estimated market value of approximately $7.6M. Primarily a 6, Martínez can also play as a central midfielder.

Martínez and Facundo Torres both joined Palmeiras ahead of the 2025 season and spent a year together before Torres was transferred to Austin FC earlier this year. Could that existing relationship play a role if negotiations move forward? 👀

LAFC and Betis are said to also be monitoring the situation.

Austin FC doesn’t have an open DP spot and a transfer fee would be needed, so theres questions on how this could even work. What are your thoughts on this rumor? 🤔
