Last week, our founder Robert Raben stood up to say thank you. The occasion: a commemorative celebration honoring Jacquie Gales Webb — broadcaster, scholar, and one of the truest friends March On! has ever had.

For over a decade, Jacquie has lent us her wisdom and her voice — bringing icons like Diahann Carroll and Richard Smallwood to our stage, and always asking the question that drives everything we do: why didn’t we know this story, and what are we going to do now that we know it?

Today, we’re just saying it publicly: thank you, Jacquie. For the stories. For the generosity. For showing us what it looks like to carry history with grace. 🙏🏾
