Guest trader Chris Brecher joins Jermal Chandler with a favorite intraday trick: when a strong market pulls up a stock with looming earnings, it often snaps back to its unchanged line at least once during the day. His edge is the entry, waiting for the first downtick after a bounce so the day's high becomes a natural backstop.

From there he digs into risk: the closer you enter to your invalidation, the tighter the stop and the bigger you can size, with an ATR trailing stop and simple moving averages to stay honest.
