💪🐕‍🦺 For #DisabilityPrideMonth, today, we're honored to hear what disability pride means to Alanna who's partnered with Service Dog Nico. 

"Disability Pride Month, a time to recognize disability as an important part of identity and to celebrate the resilience, strength and contributions of the disability community.

This year has brought its share of challenges and setbacks. Like anyone working toward meaningful goals, there have been moments of frustration when progress hasn’t looked the way I expected.

But looking back reminds me how far I’ve come.

Learning to sit up and control my body and head. Learning to use my voice and communicate. Learning new horses and adapting to new movements. Learning what it truly means to compete physically and mentally as an athlete.

None of those milestones happened overnight, and none of them came easily. They were built through persistence, adaptability and the willingness to keep showing up, even when the path forward wasn’t clear.

That’s what Disability Pride Month reminds me of. It’s not about pretending challenges don’t exist. It’s about recognizing that disability and resilience can coexist, and that our experiences shape the perspective and determination we bring to every opportunity." 💛💙
