Ran my first hood to coast this past weekend! 🌟🙌🏼

Learned about the heat wave warning just a few days before and didn’t think it would be too bad, but definitely underestimated. 

I already do very poor in the heat on a regular day, so my first leg was a VERY large struggle. I was super down, disappointed, and dehydrated from a direct sun, no shade, 4 mile long path. Thank god for the woman and her son handing out bottles of water in the heat for us, and later on some ladies with a hose who got me head to toe, letting me finish out by running. Oh AND the lady who saw me struggling not to pass out and let me drink from her water bladder and told me I was gonna have to suck it hard 😂

Second leg! Ran at 1 am and it was the best run I have ever had in my life. Full 180! Only saw 6 people out, was staring at the Big Dipper my entire run, and felt AMAZING. 

Gave my third leg to our amazing driver because there was no way in hell I was running in the heat again after that first leg experience.. gotta listen to the body. Also was only running on 2 hours of sleep.. Definitely would do this again, minus the heat wave edition. Great experience, great van mates, so much support, and so worth it.
