🌍Je connaissais déjà un peu le Sénégal depuis l’espace. Cette fois, j’ai eu la chance de le découvrir depuis le sol !

🚀Grâce à mon ami gabrielfaye84, j’ai passé quelques jours à Dakar pour parler d’espace, mais surtout pour rencontrer la jeunesse sénégalaise.

✨Le spatial fait rêver, bien sûr. Mais il sert aussi tous les jours : observer notre planète, mieux comprendre le climat, améliorer l’agriculture, les télécommunications, la navigation… C’est ce que j’avais envie de partager pendant cette visite.

🤲🏾Finalement, ce ne sont pourtant pas les conférences que je retiens le plus. Ce sont les discussions qui continuent après. Les questions qui n’en finissent plus. Les enfants qui arrivent en combinaison d’astronaute. Les étudiants qui demandent comment rejoindre le secteur spatial. Les échanges qui donnent envie de revenir.

🛰️ Le Sénégal a déjà lancé son premier satellite, son agence spatiale est en plein développement, et l’enthousiasme que j’ai vu cette semaine donne envie de suivre cette aventure de près.

🙏Merci aussi à l’ASES pour son accueil et pour tout le travail ces dernières années, un immense merci à Gabriel pour l’organisation et à toutes les personnes qui ont rendu cette visite possible. J’espère revenir bientôt !

🇸🇳 I had already discovered a little of Senegal from orbit. This time, I had the chance to discover it from the ground! 🤩

🛰️ At the invitation of the Senegalese Space Agency (ASES), I spent a few days in Dakar talking about space, but above all meeting Senegal’s younger generation.

😊In the end, what I’ll remember most, though, is everything that happens after a conference: the endless questions, the children showing up dressed as astronauts, the students asking how they can build a career in space, and the conversations that make you want to come back.

🚀Senegal has already launched its first satellite, its space agency is growing fast, and the enthusiasm I saw throughout the week makes the future look very exciting.

🙏Thank you to ASES and everyone who made this visit possible. Hopefully I’ll be back soon.
