New Orleans Saints fans are out of their minds. Tyler Shough having a better season than Patrick Mahomes is absolutely insane. I am trying to figure out how an Instagram user can form this stance. I personally disagree with this Instagram post in the form of a sports meme, but let’s think about why this claim might have been made. 

The New Orleans Saints built a much better roster around their rookie quarterback this offseason. Chris Olave is healthy, Travis Etienne Jr. gives the offense another explosive playmaker, the offensive line improved, and NOLA enters this 2026-2027 NFL season with one of the easiest schedules. But Pat Mahomes is still the best quarterback in the National Football League. He’s a Super Bowl champion, NFL MVP, and the face of the Kansas City Chiefs franchise who have built a dynasty.

But football isn’t always about who’s more talented. Situations matter. If Shough develops as quickly as many NFL fans believe he can, he can maybe put up comparable statistics to Mahomes. It’s not likely, but it’s not impossible. I am interested as to what other Instagram users think in the comment section about this crazy football fan claim.
