Jaguars are confident swimmers, using their powerful tails for propulsion and stability in the water. Unlike most cats, these fur-midable felines enjoy swimming and often use rivers to travel, hunt, and cool off. Their muscular bodies also help them climb trees, where they can rest in the shade and survey their surroundings.
