A new healthtech startup called DoctorBook is working to change that in Syria. 

Founded by Abdulrahman Aljandali and Abdulrahman Alkhateeb, DoctorBook just raised its pre-seed funding round to help modernize how patients connect with healthcare providers. The platform allows users to search for doctors, compare services, and book appointments entirely online. 

While the funding round is modest, the implications are huge. Bringing digital infrastructure to local healthcare systems directly impacts everyday lives—saving time, reducing frustration, and making medical care significantly more accessible. 

As digital health continues to grow across the MENA region, platforms like DoctorBook show how technology can solve very real, everyday problems where they matter most.
