In this graduate story, Maurice reflects on his experience researching Grand Canyon University’s educational leadership program, its affordability and the importance of staying organized in an online learning environment. He also shares the support he received from faculty and classmates throughout his journey. Maurice explains how GCU’s integration of faith and profession helped him view his work in education through a different lens, connecting his career path to a deeper sense of purpose and calling.

Maurice currently serves as a college, career and military readiness district coordinator for Houston ISD, where he supports postsecondary programming across high schools. He also discusses his passion for educational policy, his aspirations to pursue a doctorate and his desire to make a lasting impact on students and communities through his work.
