Meet Officer Mason. During his time at longwooduniversity, he participated in many organizations and activities that he said helped prepare him for his current role as a police officer. 

"I served as a conduct board justice for the university, which was a student body governed organization that would hear cases on student misconduct and make decisions on what was the best steps moving forward."

He also worked as a supervisor for the campus recreation center while being a member of the Honors College at Longwood. 👏 Mason always had aspirations of going into law enforcement, ever since he was a young child. "My uncle was a former Lieutenant with Richmond Police for 20 years and he served as an inspiration for me as well," said Mason. 

He then shared that while the course work was sometimes challenging, his best advice to anyone in school is, "make sure you make the best of your time there because the experiences and the friends/colleagues you meet along the way, are some that you will never forget."
