🐾 Happy #NationalZookeeperWeek! Continuing our week-long series, we're spotlighting Bailey Watson 

Bailey has been a full-time keeper for 7 years and has been part of our team for 3.5 years. With a background spanning birds, reptiles, and small and large mammals, she moved to Denver with a specific purpose: to specialize in primates. And on her leg is a stunning tattoo by Stay True Tattoo here in Denver featuring three animals who each represent a value she carries into work every single day. 

🦜 Carmen the military macaw: a medically complex bird who taught Bailey the importance of working hard to form relationships, even when it's difficult. 

🦡 Dimitri the ambassador ferret: a reminder to never let preconceived ideas lead to underestimating an animal's abilities. Never count out a ferret. 

🐒 Kerry the capuchin: a member of our DZCA capuchin troop, and a symbol of the importance of individualized care, meeting every animal exactly where they are.
