Getting out of her comfort zone and experimenting with the stop-motion process, Dana (danagonetothedogs) collaborates with sound artist Lynette Quek (_lquek), to explore new ways of looking and understanding the world as a 73-year-old.

Painstakingly assembled, stroke by stroke, over thousands of hours, this animation piece marks a place in time when the innocent pleasure, and childhood wonder of spotting a passing ship or an overhead plane is threatened by an ominous sky.

Come experience this labour of love alongside other key works by Dana at The AGEncy Fest Opening on this Wed, 22 July, 7.30pm till late. RSVP now (link in bio).

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? (2026) was made with the support of The AGEncy Fund for T:>Works AGEncy Fest 2026.

The AGEncy Fest recognises that mature individuals still have decades of wisdom to contribute and share to Singapore’s cultural and wider landscape, and champions a future where creativity knows no age.
