A few things the video didn’t have room for:

This place has been on the river since 1986, and the wing I stayed in — the Krungthep Wing — was added in ‘91 as the quiet, grown-up half of the hotel. The whole look is by Wilson & Associates: elm burlwood, carved teak, that old-Bangkok-meets-luxury thing that somehow never goes dated.

💪 That gym I trained in? It’s a 45-million-baht rebuild — over 8,500 sq ft and eleven floor-to-ceiling windows lined up along the Chao Phraya. You’re basically doing lunges over the river.

🍤 Salathip literally means “heavenly pavilion,” and the dancers aren’t random — set performances at 7:45 and 9:15 every night, so time your mains if you want a front-row seat. Ask about the tom yum cocktail too.

🍳 Breakfast at NEXT2 runs nine live kitchens — worth showing up hungry and staying past your reservation.

🎾 THE TENNIS MATH — from 4,800++ a night, guests get one court hour free daily (6am–6pm). Walk-ins pay 900/hour daytime, 1,100 in the evening. If you’re the obsessive type, the “Play More, Save More” court packages stack up like this:
* 10-hr Dawn (6am–6pm): 8,550 (~855/hr)
* 30-hr Dawn: 24,300 (~810/hr) 👈 best value
* 10-hr Dusk (6pm–9pm): 10,450 (~1,045/hr)
* 30-hr Dusk: 29,700 (~990/hr)
