Kelly Raffan
The Commons aims to address the isolation of urban living by reimagining the Barrie Bus Terminal into a dynamic and abundant oasis that prioritizes healthy social connections and a generous community spirit. Through the principles of symmetry and movement, the design utilizes a contrast between rigid linear forms and soft curved shapes to marry intimate dwellings with the active functionality of shared domesticity.

Briana Lalonde
The Compass Transitional Housing facility integrates trauma-informed principles and biophilic design to create a restorative sanctuary for families recovering from homelessness. Central to this healing environment are two primary amenity spaces, a lush indoor garden and a vibrant children's play area, specifically designed to nurture both emotional well-being and a sense of belonging.

Shannon Cooze
The Continuum is a sanctuary of care that bridges the gap between clinical support and emotional healing, utilizing nature-centric design and restorative amenities to honor both the finality of life and the resilience of those left behind. This project provides an essential, life-affirming refuge by grounding earth-conscious, human-centric design in the rhythms of community and nature.

The Mind Garden is an alternative therapy space designed to support children's mental health through play-based design while also helping parents, caregivers, and educators learn and connect. Through art therapy spaces and a shared Learners' Lounge, the project creates a calming, nature-inspired environment using soft organic forms, natural materials, and biophilic design.
