Sportsnet’s Dan Murphy has reported on X that former Canucks and Grizzlies owner Arthur Griffiths is heading a group that has put in a formal offer to purchase the Whitecaps‼️

While the report of Griffiths and his camp putting forth an offer to purchase the Whitecaps is new, his name has been discussed as a potential buyer for months. It was reported back in May that the 69-year-old had interest in being a part of the next Whitecaps ownership group 💵

Murphy’s update on Friday morning gives further proof that Griffiths does have serious interest, which would be extremely welcome news for Whitecaps fans 🙏
