#MahershalaAli says he’s tired of talking about Marvel’s long-delayed Blade reboot.

In a new interview with GQ, the Oscar winner said the film is no longer happening for him after years of development and setbacks.

“If they wanted to do it, we would’ve done it,” Ali said. “They had me under contract, they have billions of dollars. If they wanted to do the movie, we would’ve done the movie. So we’re not doing the movie.”

Ali also said he doesn’t want to be known for remakes and would rather focus on original projects that have a lasting impact.

He revealed that after spending more than a year training for ‘Blade,’ he was able to use those skills in his upcoming film, ‘Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother,’ calling the experience creatively fulfilling.
