Unitree has introduced the AS2-W, a wheel-legged robotic dog designed to move efficiently across smooth surfaces on wheels and switch to leg movement when facing stairs, rocky terrain, or steep areas.

Weighing 25 kilograms, the robot can overcome obstacles up to 80 centimeters, reach speeds of more than 6 meters per second, and travel over 30 kilometers on a single charge. It can also carry approximately 16 kilograms while using LiDAR and cameras to understand and navigate challenging environments.

Unitree says the robot could support tasks such as inspections, security operations, and transporting equipment, while emphasizing that the AS2-W is intended for safe civilian use.
