Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca criticized Monday’s Raw concert segment on Tuesday’s Busted Open, selecting the Joe Hendry and Danhausen concert as their “ugly” of the night. Bully Ray called it “bowling shoe ugly,” adding, “No bueno. At all. Disgusting. Oh my God!”

“I actually sat up to the edge of my chair because I could not believe what I was seeing,” Bully Ray said. “There’s got to be some way to get out of this.” He added, “Nobody took a step forward in that segment,” and questioned its purpose: “What business did we get accomplished? What step forward did we take? It was a way to get to the backstage and make the match. Other than that, I don’t know what it was there for.”

LaGreca said, “The song itself was awful,” and on Ryan Garcia dancing with the cheerleaders, “I’m like, what the f— am I watching?” He called the segment “WCW at its lowest” and asked for “a mulligan,” saying, “Don’t show any footage of it, don’t show highlights of it, and let’s move on, please.”

Bully Ray said the segment “is not written to entertain diehard pro wrestling fans like me and you. It’s written for somebody. I’d love to hear from that somebody,” suggesting WWE may have been “looking for that viral moment of Ryan Garcia breaking a guitar over Joe Hendry’s back.”

After Jonathan Hood texted LaGreca comparing the segment to Happy Days jumping the shark, Bully Ray responded, “They might have jumped Jaws last night.” He also said Dominik Mysterio’s heat “seems like that’s kind of died off too,” and voiced hope that Danhausen does not start receiving “the same reactions that he got night one in Chicago.”

Both noted Corey Graves’ Judy Bagwell on a pole commentary reference as the segment’s lone bright spot, as it led to a pole match stipulation being added for Dominik Mysterio and Danhausen at SummerSlam. LaGreca said Danhausen has “built enough stock” and “will bounce back this weekend at SummerSlam,” while Bully Ray said of Hendry, “I have always been a Joe Hendry fan... I don’t have high hopes for him on the main roster.”
