There were so many moments during Pilates After Dark where I caught myself thinking... “I can’t believe I’m actually doing this…!” Hosting an event is one thing… Hosting an event, leading a Pilates session, and facilitating a conversation on femininity, confidence, and sexual health for a room full of women is another. 

Transparently, there were definitely moments leading up to the evening where I questioned whether I was ready or capable of pulling something like this off. But, one thing I’ve learned over the years is that confidence doesn’t usually show up first. Nine times out of ten, it shows up because you decided to show up nervous, scared, or somewhere I between. When it comes to Pilates After Dark, collectively, we showed up… and we did the dang thing! I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who trusted me enough to spend their evening with me, to the partners who believed in the vision, and to everyone who helped bring it to life. 

A special thank you to justjaiwear for making sure I looked as confident as I was trying to feel in my Sweat Pretty fit, because we all know looking the part is half the battle and there’s something about putting on the perfect outfit that makes you stand a little taller at the front of the room.
