Phoenix could remain under an extreme heat warning for the entire week as another dangerous stretch of temperatures builds across the Valley.🥵
The official warning is currently in effect through 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, but National Weather Service meteorologists say it will likely be extended again.

Phoenix should remain near 110° through the middle of the week before temperatures potentially climb between 115° and 118° later this week and into the weekend. Overnight lows may only fall to around 90° or the low 90s, offering very little relief.

Phoenix already reached a daily record of 117° on Friday, July 24. The temperature only dropped to 97° overnight, tying the city’s all-time record for its hottest low temperature.
Extreme heat warnings also trigger daytime closures at Camelback Mountain, Piestewa Peak and South Mountain. Forecasters say isolated monsoon storms are possible near higher terrain, but Phoenix will likely only see gusty winds.
