Yankees are working to complete a trade for Nationals infielder Luis Garcia Jr., per joel__sherman . The left-handed hitting Garcia has only been a first baseman and DH this year but had been mostly a second baseman and played a little shortstop during his first six MLB seasons, all with Washington. The 26-year-old Garcia, hitting .283 with an .873 OPS this year, would be under contract through next year as well. Yankees have discussed Double-A pitcher Jack Cerbert in negotiations. Cerbert is the team’s #14-ranked prospect
