The 2007 Fiesta Bowl between Boise State and Oklahoma is widely considered one of the greatest games in college football history. @totalistrading 

Boise State entered the game as an undefeated underdog against No. 7 Oklahoma, looking to prove that a team outside the traditional power conferences could compete on the biggest stage.

The Broncos built a 28–10 lead before Oklahoma stormed back with 25 unanswered points, including a pick-six with just 1:02 remaining to take a 35–28 lead. It appeared the Sooners had completed the comeback. 

Then came one of the most unforgettable sequences the sport has ever seen.

Facing 4th-and-18 with 18 seconds left, Boise State executed the famous Hook and Lateral, tying the game with seven seconds remaining.

In overtime, Oklahoma scored first on an Adrian Peterson touchdown run.

Boise State answered with another trick play—a halfback option pass from wide receiver Vinny Perretta to tight end Derek Schouman on fourth down.

Instead of kicking the extra point, Broncos head coach Chris Petersen elected to go for the win.

Boise State called the Statue of Liberty play.

Quarterback Jared Zabransky faked a pass before handing the ball behind his back to Ian Johnson, who walked untouched into the end zone for the game-winning two-point conversion.

Boise State stunned Oklahoma 43–42, completed a perfect 13–0 season, and delivered one of the greatest upsets college football has ever seen. Moments later, Johnson proposed to his girlfriend on the field, capping one of the sport’s most iconic nights.
