Trump’s removal of enslaved Black people from a historic memorial in Philadelphia is part of a broader effort to rewrite Black history and weaken Black political power. But they can’t erase what happened. 

Every attempt to censor Black history is another opportunity to teach it. Every lie is another reason to tell the truth. Every act of erasure is another reason to organize.

When they try to make history disappear, we make sure millions more people see it. By lifting up every voice.
